JEFF SMITHART
Texas native singer/songwriter Jeff Smithart draws no boundaries. A smooth blend of Texas Honkytonk on the sweet edge of Southern Rock, Pours out as Jeff Smithart's trademark style of "Redneck Country". Growing up in Little Elm Texas just north of Dallas, Jeff was surrounded by a host of talented singer/songwriters. A seasoned entertainer Jeff has performed for the past 30 years and has developed a strong and loyal Texas fan base that enjoys his High energy yet down to earth shows. Some say it’s like Brooks and Dunn meets Alan Jackson and Tracy Lawrence, Jeff Recorded his debut album Redneck Proud in 2008 and was set to release in 2009 when the death of longtime friend, producer and label owner Brandon Lynn Shane put the project on hold.
In 2010 Jeff completed a summer acoustic tour of central and coastal bend area Texas with singer/songwriters Tim Fralik, and Mark Sebby with great response.
Jeff is now under Contract with Tate Music Group Mustang Oklahoma, and his Debut Album “Redneck Proud”, is set to be released May, 22 2012, Thirteen songs, six penned by Smithart and seven others such as “Psycho Daisy Mae” and “It don't get no better than this” written by Bud Tower and Jim Carolyn, Bud co-wrote “Red White and Pink Slip Blues” by “Hank Williams Jr.” and the title cut “God and Guns” by “Lynyrd Skynyrd”. Also on the Album is “What turns you on” Written by “Tom Paden” who has Cuts by George Strait, Reba McEntire, Tammy Wynette, and Kenny Rogers to name a few.
